Enrichment & Community Experiences
Enrichment services provide individualized opportunities for adolescents and young adults to engage in meaningful recreational, social, and community-based experiences. Activities are selected based on each individual’s interests, goals, and opportunities for growth.
Experiences may include movies, museums, restaurants, shopping, cooking, seasonal activities, recreation, community events, or other interest-based outings. These experiences can provide natural opportunities to practice independence, communication, decision-making, flexibility, and social participation while also simply enjoying meaningful time in the community.
Best fit: Individuals may have a wide range of communication abilities, including verbal, minimally verbal, or non-speaking communication. Services are most appropriate for those who can participate in community activities without significant safety or behavioral concerns requiring intensive support, such as frequent elopement or aggression.
